To support our working parents, and ensure we provide them with every opportunity to succeed in their work life, we recently launched our school holiday program, which provides free onsite childcare for our employees’ children during the school holidays.
Across six days, our boardroom turns into a children’s entertainment zone with a range of activities including dancing, sports and crafting. The kids also enjoy park visits and lunches with their parents.
The initiative is open to all Pilbara Minerals’ children, including those with parents working on site.
Pilbara Minerals HR Advisor Fiona North said the company understands that finding childcare in school holidays can be a challenging time for parents.
“Our holiday program means parents can bring their kids to the office, knowing they are entertained in safe hands and not required to book external care for the holiday period,” said Fiona.
“It’s also a great opportunity for parents to show their children where they work, encourage work-life balance and create a family friendly workplace.”
The program is created and led by KidsCo, an Australian organisation empowering greater balance for working parents during one of the most stressful times of the year – the school holidays.
