We welcome the announcement by the Minister for Ports the Hon. David Michael today that a Commitment Agreement to secure Pilbara Minerals as a foundation proponent at Lumsden Point has been agreed with the State Government.
This agreement clears the way for Pilbara Minerals to finalise tenure arrangements with the Pilbara Ports Authority, enabling the construction of export infrastructure that supports our current expansion activities.
Pilbara Minerals has two major production expansion projects underway which will take the nameplate capacity of our Pilgangoora Operation to up to 1 million tonnes per annum of spodumene concentrate by 2025.
The Lumsden Point development is critical to meet the growing export requirements to support our growth strategy.
Together with the State and Commonwealth Governments, we’re proud to play a part in progressing the development of the nationally significant export facilities at Lumsden Point.
