We are pleased to announce our major regional sponsorship with Teach Learn Grow (TLG) in the Pilbara.
Pilbara Minerals has committed $60,000 a year, for the next five years which will allow TLG to deliver its Rural Program to four schools in the Pilbara region.
TLG is a not-for-profit organisation endeavouring to address educational disparity in rural and remote communities, by providing primary school children with free one-on-one tutoring and mentoring delivered by inspiring volunteer university students. As part of Pilbara Mineral’s funding, students in Yandeyarra, Marble Bar, Port Headland and Strelley will be able to access the program.
The week-long Rural Program runs twice a year, providing children with two hours of one-on-one individualised tutoring per day in specific mathematics and STEM outcomes.
As part of our ‘Making a Difference in the World’ commitment which drives the Pilbara Minerals purpose, our partnership with TLG has a tangible positive impact on our local communities, particularly in improving the learning outcomes of children in the Pilbara.
